Terms of Use
Last updated 8 October 2026
The short version
- Huddlings is for families with kids aged 4 and up. A parent or guardian (18 or over) makes the account and looks after how the family uses it.
- What your family makes is yours. We only keep it to run Huddlings for you.
- Yaaku, the characters, the art, the logo and the app belong to Naavalan Ventures. Please don't copy, share around or reuse them.
- Be kind. Huddlings is a safe, warm place for families.
- Huddlings helps families talk about feelings; it isn't medical or professional advice.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Naavalan Ventures (“we”, “us”), which makes and runs Huddlings at huddlings.com. By making an account or using Huddlings, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Huddlings.
2. Who can use Huddlings
- Grown-ups make accounts. You must be 18 or over and able to make a binding agreement where you live.
- Kids join through a family. Huddlings is made for kids aged 4 and up. A child may use Huddlings only as part of a family set up by their parent or legal guardian, with that grown-up's consent and supervision. Children may not make their own accounts.
- You're responsible for your family. When you add someone, you confirm you're allowed to (for a child, that you're their parent or guardian), and you agree to these terms for how they use Huddlings.
3. Your account
- Give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself.
- Each grown-up signs in as themselves. Don't share your sign-in or use anyone else's.
- Tell us straight away at huddlings.app@gmail.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
- You're responsible for what happens in your account.
4. What your family makes
The feelings, words, characters and creations your family adds stay yours. You give us permission to store them, show them to the people in your family, and copy or process them only as needed to run Huddlings and keep it safe. This permission ends when you delete them or your account (apart from copies in backups, which are cleared on a schedule; see the Privacy Policy).
Please only add things you have the right to share, and nothing about people outside your family without their permission.
5. Keep it kind and safe
Don't use Huddlings to:
- bully, threaten, frighten or harm anyone, especially a child;
- share anything violent, sexual, hateful, unlawful, or not right for kids;
- share someone else's private information, or pretend to be someone you're not;
- send spam, viruses or anything harmful.
We may remove content that breaks these rules.
6. What belongs to us
The Huddlings name and logo, Yaaku and every other character, all artwork, illustrations, animations, films, sounds, words, designs and the software behind Huddlings are the property of Naavalan Ventures, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws in India and around the world. Using Huddlings doesn't give you ownership of any of it.
We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use Huddlings with your family, for your own non-commercial use. You may not:
- copy, download, reproduce, redistribute, publish, sell, rent or license any part of Huddlings, its characters or its art;
- modify, edit, trace, remix or make new works from our characters or art;
- use the Huddlings name, logo or characters on products, merchandise, social media accounts or anything else, or in a way that suggests we endorse you;
- scrape, crawl or harvest Huddlings, or use it or its art to build or train AI models or a competing product;
- copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the app or its code, or get around anything that protects it;
- overload, attack or disrupt Huddlings, or reach parts of it you haven't been given access to.
It's fine to share your own family's moments from Huddlings (for example, a picture of the character your child made) privately with friends and family, as long as it isn't for money. To ask about anything else, write to huddlings.app@gmail.com.
7. Not professional advice
Huddlings helps families notice and talk about feelings. It isn't therapy, and nothing in it is medical, psychological or professional advice. If you're worried about a child's wellbeing, please talk to a doctor or a qualified professional. If anyone is in danger, contact your local emergency services straight away.
8. Huddlings is growing
Huddlings is new, and we'll keep adding, changing and sometimes removing features. We work hard to keep it running and your family's data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Huddlings is free for now; if we ever add paid features, we'll tell you the price and terms before you pay anything.
9. Credits and inviting families
- When a new family joins Huddlings with your invite link, you both get credits (20 each for now). Credits can be used towards a Huddlings subscription and other things on Huddlings when we offer them.
- Credits have no cash value. They can't be exchanged for money, sold, or moved to another account.
- A family can be invited only once, and only a new account counts. Inviting yourself, or making accounts just to earn credits, isn't allowed; we may remove credits earned that way. There's a monthly limit on credits earned from invites.
- We may change how many credits an invite earns, what credits can be used for, or end credits, and we'll tell you before a change that affects credits you already have.
- Your invite card shows your family's name and the Huddling you chose, to anyone you send the link to. Please share it only with people you know.
10. Leaving, or being asked to leave
- You can stop using Huddlings and ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to huddlings.app@gmail.com.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts a child at risk, or when the law requires it. Where we can, we'll tell you why first.
- Sections 6, 11, 12 and 13 still apply after an account is closed. Credits end when an account is closed.
11. Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Huddlings is provided “as is” and we aren't responsible for indirect or unexpected losses, or for losses caused by things outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be limited, or our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
If you break these terms and that causes others to make a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of it.
12. The law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live elsewhere, you also keep any protections your local law gives you. If something goes wrong, please write to us first; most things can be put right with a conversation.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Huddlings grows. If a change matters, we'll tell you before it applies and ask you to agree again when you next sign in. If you don't agree, you can stop using Huddlings and ask us to delete your account.
14. Contact
Questions, ideas, a worry, or a grievance: write to huddlings.app@gmail.com. We read every message.
